Problem
Engineering teams at Snowflake use Jira Software Cloud for project management. They collaborate in various Slack channels with other project members. Slack conversations are disconnected from their Jira issues unless someone manually copy pastes which is a lot of mundane work. They perceived weekly sync up meetings as time consuming as there is repeated manual context switching from work to attend zoom calls for the status updates. Also as teams are distributed across different time zones, finding a suitable time for the team meetings is a challenge.
Solution
With Troopr, Slack project channels are automatically connected with the Jira projects. Each project team starts by inviting Troopr to their Slack channel and setting up notifications and custom emoji for converting Slack conversations to Jira issues. Important issue updates and reminders are received in Slack and further update follow up actions are fulfilled directly in Slack. Also with Troopr, teams conduct meetings asynchronously in Slack. The team members participate at their convenient time. Troopr compiles the report along with issue context and activities from Jira and shares with the manager in Slack channel to view at convenience.
